WTM: Disney unveils plans for Avatar Land
Avatar Land is set to be the next big thing to come to Walt Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Florida.
Avatar was the epic science fiction film of 2009 directed by James Cameron about human interaction with nature on the alien moon Pandora.
The new attraction promises to immerse you in the fantasy world of Pandora and experience the special effects the film was admired for.
The estimated $500 million project will begin in 2013 and is expected to take three to five years to complete, with rides, attractions, shops and restaurants.
James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Filmed Entertainment are behind the project.
