WTM organisers hope weak sterling will attract exhibitors

World Travel Market organisers are promising the event will be great value to exhibitors this year thanks to the weak sterling and the fact that it will be one day shorter.

Following pressure from exhibitors, this year the event will be cut from four days to three, although doors will remain open later – until 7pm for all three days.

"That means participants will cut down on ancillary costs – but have greater opportunities to do business," said the organisers, Reed Exhibitions.

"That is against the current backdrop of a very favourable exchange rate for overseas visitors after the UK’s vote to leave the European Union, which saw the pound fall to a record 31-year low."

This event takes place at ExCeL, London, from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 November.

HotelMap.com will offer unique prices and special offers on accommodation in London and exclusive discounted air fares have been agreed with airlines in the oneworld alliance.

WTM London senior director Simon Press said: "With the Pound at a record low following the UK’s Brexit vote, WTM London has never been better value for participants, giving those from Europe more to show for their Euro."
