WTTC and SunX launch ‘Bend our Trend’ on World Environment Day
WTTC and SunX looking for support for critical social media campaign
SunX Malta is seeking support for the strategic social media campaign being launching today – World Environment Day – to help travel and tourism companies and communities better respond to the existential climate crisis, even while dealing with the immediate Covid crisis.
Called Bend our Trend it helps any stakeholder create climate neutral ambition plans, which fit the Paris 1.5° low carbon trajectory, reflect the SDGs, and meet the targets of the Green New Deal.
Under the leadership of Malta’s Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Hon. Julia Farrugia Portelli and in collaboration with WTTC, SunX will provide a ‘Registry of Ambitions for Travel & Tourism’ integrated into the formal UNFCCC Global Climate Action portal.
SunX will also provide support tools, to help stakeholders pursue climate friendly travel and to prepare climate neutral ambition plans for filing in the registry, as well as train young smart graduates to assist in strategic low carbon transformation.

If you support the overall goal of ‘BEND OUR TREND’ you can join the effort and communicate to your own contacts and via social media – with your own message, should you wish.
