Yahoo! executive defects to Travelzoo
Online agency Travelzoo has poached Yahoo! UK's Tracey Cheffey who will join the UK team as executive producer in August.
Cheffey, who is well-known as a judge for several travel awards including the Agent Achievement Awards and The British Travel Awards, will take responsibility for leading and developing Travelzoo's team of local producers in the UK.
Managing director of Travelzoo UK Joel Brandon-Bravo said: "Tracey's experience as director of travel at Yahoo!, working with leading brands and ensuring campaigns perform, will help us to ensure the best quality deals for our subscribers and maximum returns for our advertisers."
Cheffey's move follows the appointment of Simon Ferguson, who left his position as chief executive of the TWgroup, publishers of Travel Weekly, to join this week as general manager of Travelzoo's Destinations and Network businesses in the UK.
