Yates quits after PATA confirms new CEO
BANGKOK – PATA Vice President-Operations Michael Yates is leaving the association at the end of the year to pursue new business opportunities.

Yates was favourite to replace outgoing CEO and president Peter de Jong, but lost out to Bangkok-based Indochina Services CEO, Greg Duffell.
“With a change in the PATA leadership I felt it was the right time to move on,” said Yates.
“Greg Duffell is a successful entrepreneur and I’m sure he will use his strong commercial instincts to work with all of the team, our members and our partners, to grow PATA in the years ahead,”
 he said.
Yates plans to resume his consultancy business, Taramax Consultants, based in Hong Kong.
PATA named Duffell as its new CEO yesterday although his appointment had been widely flagged in the trade media.
