The first Marriott branded hotel in Indonesia has introduced its Meetings Imagined programme, aiming to lure more MICE business.
Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel is also the first to introduce Marriott’s Meeting Services App which allows real-time requests and communication with the hotel’s guest services team around the clock.
The hotel’s event centrepiece is the 1,870 square metre Keraton Ballroom which is the largest pillarless ballroom in Yogyakarta and accommodates up to 2,500 guests.
The hotel also features eight smaller meeting rooms supported by certified Marriott meeting event planners to create bespoke business meetings and special events including weddings.
The hotel, located just 20 minutes from Adi Sutjipto International Airport, has 347 guestrooms and suites, the M-Club club lounge, which is the largest of its kind in the city, three dining venues, an outdoor pool and spa.
The hotel opened in the Javanese cultural hotspot late last year.
"Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel is not only the newest hotel in the historic city, but is also leading the pack in terms of innovative meeting facilities for business travellers, " Alain Rigodin, general manager, Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel said during its launch.
