Yorkshire-based agent goes bust
Skipton-based travel agent, Waterfall Travel, has ceased trading.
ABTA has terminated it’s membership and called in its bond, citing insolvency as of August 9. So far this year, 18 ABTA members have failed, compared with 12 up to this time last year. A spokesperson for ABTA said: “The figures are relatively positive, and this by no means is our worst year.” In 1991/1992, 140 ABTA members failed over a 12 month period due to the impact of the Gulf War.
Clients booked with the agent have the option to continue their trip or collect a full refund under ABTA’s financial protection scheme. Clients should call the ABTA claims department on 020 7307 2041.
