YOTEL announces details of three new US micro hotels
Micro hotel concept brand YOTEL has unveiled more details about its planned expansion into new US markets.
As part of a global expansion progam to add 3,000 new ‘cabin’ rooms in various cities worldwide by 2018, the company will add a second New York property, and will debut the brand in Miami and San Francisco.
A 100,000 square feet mixed-use site in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will house a 110-unit YOTEL property.
San Francisco will get a 200-cabin YOTEL hotel and a YOTEL Miami is being developed by Aria Development Group, and will feature 250 cabins in the heart of downtown.
In addition to these confirmed projects, YOTEL is in well advanced discussions to operate new properties in Boston, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle and Toronto.
The company also announced a first foray into Asia with the launch of YOTEL Singapore in 2017.
"At YOTEL, we are focused on both hospitality and real estate principles. Our business model delivers up to two times as many rooms than traditional brands, and our cabin standards are on par or superior to most upscale hotels," said CEO Hubert Viriot.
"Today, YOTEL has the solid foundation and proven track record to expand globally," he added.
