YouHotels reveals new sales team
Youhotels.com, the trade arm of Youtravel, has expanded its agency sales team with a view to strengthening its relationship with the UK travel trade.
Former head of UK trade sales Liz Garfield has been promoted to the new role of head of commercial, with responsibility for new business development and commercial projects outside the business' current trade relationships.
Replacing Garfield as head of UK trade sales is Hannah Wheeler, who joins from lastminute.com where she held the position of DP flights and holidays trading manager.
Kirsty Batchelor has joined as account manager from Octavia Travel to take responsibility for day-to-day management of current trade accounts. She previously spent six years as branch manager for Midlands Co-op Travel.
The last new recruit is Lisa Richards who has joined as sales coordinator and will support the team, in addition to managing group bookings.
Youhotels.com managing director Matt Cheevers said: “Our new look sales team is in place and raring to go.
"Hannah, Kirsty and Lisa have great experience between them and they will be focused on working closely with our trade partners. We have ambitious plans to grow our trade relationships in 2012 and I’m confident we have the team in place to meet these targets.
“I’m also pleased to promote Liz to the newly created role of head of commercial. Liz has been instrumental in the business’ success over the past five years and is fundamental to our plans moving forwards.”
