Young woman dies on flight from London to US
A 23-year old woman has died on a flight from London to the US after being found unconscious mid-air.
The woman, who was alone, was travelling on a United Airlines flight from Heathrow to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Monday night.
A doctor, who was on the flight, tried to resuscitate her, but she was declared dead 75 minutes before the flight landed.
She reportedly had pre-existing medical problems, Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo told NorthJersey.com.
The cause of death is not yet known and authorities, who are awaiting results of an autopsy, have not yet released her name.
Police and a medical examiner were waiting when Flight 115 landed at Newark Liberty International Airport 9:45pm EST, reports the Daily Mail.
