Youth travel defies the downturn
MELBOURNE – The Adventure Travel & Backpackers Expo expects strong
numbers for their upcoming show at Melbourne Royal Exhibition
 Building, February 21-22.
Director Andrew Paltridge says that exhibitor numbers are
almost identical to last year and that he expects good numbers through the door
 over the weekend.
“Our recent expo in Sydney in November saw a double digit
increase in visitor numbers which indicates that the adventure/youth market is
still looking to travel in good numbers.
“We also have had recent comments
from those companies in our Work and Travel area that UK-based recruiters are
still seeking skilled Aussies to work, and some still have
places to fill.â€
