Online accommodation only specialist youtravel.com has named two new sales managers.

Liz Loukes joins as sales manager – South and Ireland, and Andy Travis becomes sales manager – North and Scotland.

Loukes was previously acting national sales manager at Holiday Autos and also held leisure sales positions at United Airlines.

Travis was most recently a key account manager at Medhotels and has held previous positions at Cosmos.

Meanwhile, the company has added resort hotels in Morocco, Tunisia, Italy and Malta while extending a SMART car agent promotion over the peak New Year booking period. Prices in Marrakech, Morocco start from £17 per person per night based on a four-star hotel.

Further destinations are to be added early next year in regions made attractive by the influx of low-cost flights such as Bulgaria and Croatia.

Sales and marketing director Paul Riches said:  “Since the launch of youtravel.com at the end of October, there have been over 500 new resort hotels added throughout popular destinations in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

“In line with the product expansion plans for youtravel.com, top resorts in Morocco, Tunisia, Italy and Malta are now available to book. The new North African destinations were some of the most requested by our agent partners and are now booking strongly for travel throughout 2007.

“It is important that the youtravel.com portfolio includes traditional sunshine escapes, such as Florida which will be available in the New Year, and that we also embrace destinations that have established themselves as mainstream players more recently.”
