EasyJet holidays has now rolled out a dedicated group booking tool on its travel agent portal. This enables the trade to search, cost out and book larger group holidays for up to 16 travellers rather than the previous default of nine per booking. Group travel options can be browsed by type of holiday, length of the holiday and others categories. “We’re constantly looking at ways to improve the travel agent booking experience. This new update will make the process even quicker and easier,” said Head of Trade Distribution Natasha Marson. It comes as the annual Big Orange Sale is in full swing, with saving of up to £400 off packages.

EasyJet reinforces its commitment in Spain. The airline will increase its capacities in 2026 and plans to launch a digital hub. The airline closed fiscal year 2025 having carried 18.6 million passengers to and from Spain, a 7% increase compared with the previous year.

During a presentation, easyJet announced the creation of its first digital hub in Europe, to be based in Barcelona. The initiative reflects the airline’s growing focus on delivering a best-in-class digital experience for customers through the development of new digital products, and it significantly strengthens its ability to create new solutions by tapping into Barcelona’s deep talent pool.

With operations set to begin this year, the company is now launching a recruitment drive focused on product, engineering, artificial intelligence, and marketing roles to support this first development phase with a team of around 30 people.

With this new center, the company aims to create job opportunities focused on enhancing the digital solutions easyJet offers across its app, website, and other customer touchpoints used by more than 100 million customers to connect with thousands of destinations across Europe. The goal is to build a strong team of product, user experience, and software professionals.

Javier Gándara, easyJet’s general manager for Southern Europe and head of public policy, said: “The decision to locate our first digital hub in Europe in Barcelona is a clear sign of easyJet’s commitment to Spain and to the enormous talent available in the country. This new center will be key to accelerating our digital transformation and to further improving the passenger experience, incorporating capabilities in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and marketing. EasyJet’s 2025 performance in Spain and 2026 outlook

As part of its presentation, easyJet also shared an overview of its operations in Spain and its outlook for 2026. In Spain, easyJet carried 18.6 million passengers to and from the country across 250 routes, representing a 7% increase compared with fiscal year 2024. Of the 250 routes, 23 were new connections operated during 2025.

Looking ahead to fiscal year 2026, easyJet plans to strengthen its presence in Spain, with capacity expected to reach 21.9 million seats—an increase of around 6.5% compared with 2025. By base, capacity will grow by 5% in Málaga and Palma de Mallorca, and by 3% in Barcelona and Alicante versus 2025.

As a network update, the airline has launched sales for two new routes for the summer 2026 season, improving connections between Spain and the United Kingdom. These include a new route linking Seville and Bristol, starting May 2 with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and another connecting Tenerife South and Newcastle, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

These new routes further expand the airline’s network, which has already seen the launch of 21 new routes this winter. Particular growth has been recorded in regions such as Gran Canaria and Barcelona, each benefiting from five new connections, as well as Seville, which added four new routes this winter.

Commenting on the outlook, Gándara added: “At easyJet, we continue to strengthen our commitment to Spain. This year we have increased capacity and added new winter routes that allow us to continue reducing seasonality in tourism, offering more travel options outside the traditionally busy months.

We are entering the new fiscal year with capacity approaching 22 million seats in Spain (+6.5% versus 2025) and a strong desire to keep connecting this highly strategic market with the rest of Europe, growing where our passengers ask us to.

2026: A Year Full of Key Milestones

EasyJet will run its busiest ever Christmas flight programme with more than 24,600 flights taking off across Europe. This is up 10% compared to Christmas 2024. The airline is set to fly up to 3.5 million travellers across the peak Christmas and New Year period. The busiest days across its network will be on 26 December with 1,754 flights, and 2 January with 1,755 flights, carrying as many as 263,000 customers each day. In the UK, easyJet expects to fly up to two million customers on nearly 1,000 flights a day during the peak of the festive season. Paris and Milan are among the top festive travel choices, while Geneva, gateway to the Alps, is also among the top destinations with the start of ski season. Closer to home, Belfast is the most popular domestic staycation. For sunshine trips, the Canary Islands remain firm favourites. Marrakech in Morocco and Hurghada in Egypt are also top destinations for winter sunshine. EasyJet says it is the largest carrier to North Africa destinations, operating 46 routes to Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Cape Verde. The airline is also operating its biggest ever schedule to Lapland – up 26% on last year. There are up to 24 flights a week from eight UK airports, including London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and for the first time, London Southend and Belfast International. EasyJet holidays is also on track for its busiest Christmas yet, with an increase of 19% customers on holiday over Christmas week (22-28 December 2025) than last year. EasyJet is launching 16 new routes for summer 2026, with seats now on sale. These new flights will depart from eight Uk airports. It marks the airline’s expansion into sub-Saharan Africa with its third route from the UK to Sal in Cape Verde from Bristol, joining existing services from London Gatwick and Manchester. Flights from Bristol will take off from 1 May 2026 and operate three times a week. EasyJet is also offering new routes from Bristol to Bari, starting from 18 April 2026, and to Seville from 2 May 2026. Both will operate twice weekly. The airline has also introduced new services from Birmingham to Inverness starting on 30 March 2026 and Nice on 1 May 2026, both operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. From Manchester, the airline is launching new flights to Montpellier and to Preveza. From Liverpool, two new routes will take off to Lisbon and Paphos next summer. Also launching next summer are flights from the newest base at London Southend to Jersey taking off on 30 March 2026 and to Paris Charles de Gaulle from London Stansted.   easyJet has announced today ambitious growth plans in Morocco enabled by the establishment of a new three aircraft base in Marrakech, Morocco, from spring next year. This long-term partnership signed with the Moroccan National Tourism Office will allow the airline to offer a record 4 million seats in the first year of opening the base. The new permanent year-round base in Marrakech, will enable the creation of a hundred new jobs and thousands of indirect, and will cement the airline’s #2 position in Marrakech and extend its strong position in Morocco.   easyJet announced today the launch of 4 new routes to Morocco bringing the total number of routes to Morocco to 46. EasyJet launched its Big Seat Release for summer 2026, revealing a total of more than with 29 million seats available for next summer. It spans161,000 easyJet flights between 15 June 2026 and 13 September 2026. This includes over 87,000 flights to and from the UK. There are over 130 destinations to choose from across Europe, North Africa and beyond from 22 UK airports, it says.   easyJet has today launched its 2025 onboard summer collection to support UNICEF’s Children’s Emergency Fund to ensure the most vulnerable children and families get the vital support and help they desperately need.   When an emergency begins, UNICEF teams with local partners and communities aim to respond within 48 hours to provide life-saving supplies and healthcare. Although UNICEF strives to be there for all children, the scale of those in need of support is unprecedented.   Currently, approximately 1 in 6 children – almost half a billion in total – live in areas affected by conflict such as Ukraine and Sudan.   Since 2012, easyJet customers and crew have raised over £17 million in donations from the beginning of its partnership with UNICEF.   From 4 July, millions of easyJet customers flying through the peak summer season across 35 countries, will be able to donate onboard in any currency to this worthy cause.   Earlier this year emergency funding enabled UNICEF to mobilise urgent support in Myanmar, in response to the devastating earthquakes that took place in March.   The disaster left an estimated 6.3 million people needing urgent help including 2 million children.   easyJet has put 22 new routes from twelve UK airports on sale today, offering even more choice for the winter season.   Flights are now on sale at easyJet.com and via the app, allowing customers to book early and get great value fares.   Among the new destinations for both flights and package holidays now available from the UK is Vienna in Austria, which easyJet will serve from the UK this winter. A service over the festive season will launch from London Gatwick, Bristol and Liverpool, from 13th November, offering more city break options for holidaymakers looking to explore the home of one of Europe’s most iconic Christmas markets.   Three new routes are set to take off from Manchester, to Ljubljana in Slovenia as well as to Strasbourg in France and Verona in Italy, which will provide customers in the north west with more direct access to some of Europe's top ski resorts over the winter.   Belfast International is now connected to Rovaniemi - also known as Lapland and the home of Santa Claus - with easyJet offering the first and only direct connection to Finland from Northern Ireland.   The airline has also introduced a new service between Belfast City and Edinburgh starting on 26th October, operating five times a week, providing even more direct and convenient domestic connections for business and leisure travellers alike.   From Bristol, new flights to the Bavarian capital Munich will operate three times a week from 26th October, while flights to Zurich and to Verona in Italy are set to be popular with winter sports lovers headed to the slopes.   Customers in Liverpool also have even more choice this winter, with a new twice weekly service to Kraków in Poland, while those seeking some winter sun can head to Almería in Spain, known for its famous natural spots including the Cabo de Gata-Níjar park and Europe's only true desert, the Tabernas Desert.   In Scotland, customers will be able to fly from Edinburgh to Austria’s renowned Tyrolean ski resorts with new flights to Innsbruck and to the ever popular Spanish beach city of Barcelona.   The airline will also offer more international choice from Aberdeen, with a new twice weekly service to Paris Charles de Gaulle. This provides customers in the north east of Scotland with a direct route to one of Europe's major hubs, offering connectivity to the continent and beyond.   easyJet's network at its newest bases in London Southend and Birmingham continues to grow from strength to strength. Services from London Southend to Berlin are set to take off on 7th November, operating every Monday and Friday.
