Princess Cruises’ Sky Princess has arrived in its new homeport and set sail on its first voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida. It kicks off a full season of Caribbean cruises. It is the first of a season of six- and eight-night Caribbean voyages through March 2026. The ship will also spend next winter on the Space Coast with 2026-27 sailings already open for sale. “Building on the success of our inaugural Caribbean season from Port Canaveral, we’re delighted to return to the Space Coast for another series of sailings,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises’ Chief Commercial Officer. “Our guests appreciate the convenience of cruising from Central Florida, and with the addition of Sky Princess, we’re pleased to offer even greater capacity.” "Sky Princess is a great addition to the lineup of cruise options from Central Florida. We look forward to delivering a high-quality guest experience,” added Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray. At 141,000 tons Sky Princess can accommodate 3,660 guests.

Princess Cruises has opened sales for its 2027 World Cruise Grand Circle Pacific Voyage, spanning 129 nights. The cruise line says it is its most destination-packed cruise, departing Fort Lauderdale in January 2027. Sailing aboard Coral Princess, the voyage calls at 61 destinations in 20 countries across three continents. On sale now, there are three departure options. This comprises the full 129-night journey sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles on Jan. 6, 2027; a 114-night roundtrip departure from Los Angeles on Jan. 21, 2027; and a 110-night cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver on Jan. 21, 2027. “This 129-day adventure is designed for guests who yearn to experience different cultures, history, flavors and the breathtaking spectacles of the Pacific.” said Terry Thornton, Princess’ Chief Commercial Officer. Highlights include a Panama Canal transit, four Hawaiian Islands, the South Pacific, including Samoa, Fiji, and Vanuatu, as well as Australia and New Zealand. It explores Southeast Asia, with visits to Indonesia and Thailand, as well as Hong Kong and Japan including Okinawa and Osaka. Guests can visit 23 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including: the Great Barrier Reef (Australia) Ha Long Bay (Vietnam), Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Sydney Opera House. The World Cruise has late-night stays in Anchorage (Whittier), Cairns, Honolulu, Osaka, Singapore, Suva, Sydney, and Tokyo and an overnight in Hong Kong. In addition, shorter segments are for sale from four to 68 nights available from ports like Auckland, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, and Vancouver.

Princess Cruises is all set to kick off its 2025 Alaska cruise season. The line will have seven ships, five wilderness lodges and an expanded cruisetour program this year. They will visit five national parks with the most visits to Glacier Bay National Park, it says. Alaska cruises depart from five home ports, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, B.C. and Anchorage (Whittier). “We are ready to begin our highly anticipated 2025 season," said Gus Antorcha, Princess Cruises president. "We know our guests can't wait to experience their perfect Alaska vacation. Our 2025 season is packed with incredible offerings." New for 2025, is the Ultimate Alaska with Glacier Bay National Park cruises for 2025 which focus on glaciers and less-visited ports. This features Grand Princess’17-day roundtrip from Seattle, visiting 10 ports and 3 glaciers, including Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Glacier Bay National Park in May. The Ruby Princess Ultimate Alaska Solstice 22-day roundtrip from San Francisco coincides with the Summer Solstice with 11 ports and four glaciers, including Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Glacier Bay National Park in June, Princess has expanded its cruisetours catalog in 2025. The new itineraries give guests more opportunities to discover national parks, including Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell St. Elias, Kenai Fjords, and Katmai. Princess is offering 9- to 15-day itineraries, visiting from three to five national parks, that combine with the ‘Voyage of the Glaciers’ seven-day cruise with scenic rail travel, and multiple days on land. There has been a second norovirus outbreak of the year aboard Princess ship, Coral Princess. During the last cruise which returned to Fort Lauderdale on March 9, more than 80 cases were reported. It comprised 69 guests and 13 crew members, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The ship was carrying over 1900 guests during the Panama transit cruise which departed Los Angeles in late February. Vomiting and diarrhea were the main symptoms, the federal health agency said. Princess Cruises initiated its outbreak response measures which included enhanced cleaning and disinfection and isolating all ill guests and crew. The CDC monitored the outbreak remotely until it returned to Florida. It is the second confirmed norovirus outbreak on Coral Princess this year. A cruise which ended in early February sickened 128 guests and 20 crew members. So far in 2025, there have been nine confirmed cruise ship outbreaks, with six of these confirmed as norovirus as the causative agent.

Princess Cruises is expanding its Alaska cruisetours options. New itineraries give cruise guests more opportunities to explore national parks, including Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell St. Elias, Kenai Fjords, and Katmai. Princess Cruises has launched the Dine Line, a new 24/7 order service designed to make access to dining reservations aboard Princess ships more convenient than ever. The Dine Line (1-833-805-DINE), is available round the clock and lets guests make or adjust dining reservations for traditional, specialty, and experiential options across the entire Princess fleet. This includes 360: An Extraordinary Experience aboard Discovery Princess and Enchanted Princess; as well as Love by Britto and Spellbound by Magic Castle available on Sun Princess and Star Princess. Additional dining experiences, like the Chef's Table, and Caymus Winemaker Dinners, will also be accessible soon through the new Dine Line. In addition to dining reservations, guests can use the dine line to purchase Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages. Captain's Circle Platinum and Elite members, guests booked in Suites, and those in Sanctuary Collection can access the Dine Line immediately after booking, even if their reservation is not yet paid in full. All other guests must first have their cruise reservation paid in full.

An air and sea search operation has been called off the California coast with the fate of an elderly cruise passenger unknown. The U.S. Coast Guard said it suspended the search for a 72-year old man believed to have gone overboard from the Ruby Princess cruise ship as it was returning to San Francisco. The ship was returning from a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. The American citizen was traveling alone and was only noticed to be missing after the ship docked in Northern California. Crew searched throughout the ship several times and there were no signs of him going overboard from CCTV footage. Still, the cruise line said it has ‘ruled out all possibilities’ other than a man overboard situation. The Coast Guard then began aerial searches in the Pacific Ocean centered about 45 miles off the coast. The operation was suspended later ‘pending any new developments,’ the Coast Guard said. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the guest who was traveling alone," Princess Cruises said. Both U.S. Customs and Border Protection are investigating.

Caribbean Princess has arrived in Port Canaveral marking the start of a new season of Caribbean cruises from Central Florida. The ship has kicked off with a four-day Thanksgiving cruise to Turks & Caicos. In the spirit of giving, Princess Cruises made adonation of non-perishable food items to The Sharing Center of Central Brevard. Nearly two tons of food will support local families in need. "Today we celebrate the arrival of Caribbean Princess to Port Canaveral and proudly support the local community," said John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises. The troubled Regal Princess cruise ship is expected to resume sailing November 10. Princess Cruises canceled a second scheduled cruise on Sunday and says repairs are going well. The two Western Caribbean cruises departing from Galveston, Texas were scrapped due to technical issues. Passengers who were booked on the canceled October 27 and November 3 voyages were refunded and offered a 25% future cruise credit. The cruise line has now doubled this to a 50% FCC. The revised FCC will automatically be applied. A cruise line spokesperson said the ship will be ready for the November 10 cruise. “We are actively communicating with guests booked on this voyage to keep them informed.” The technical difficulties reportedly surfaced during its transatlantic journey from Southampton, England. The October 27 sailing was canceled just two days ahead of its planned departure.

The traditional float out ceremony at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy was observed, marking its transfer to the outfitting quay ahead of a Fall 2025 debut.
