Thailand tourism officials backtrack on vaccination requirement
Thailand tourism won’t be subject to any Covid restrictions after all.
Thailand’s had reinstated the need to be double vaxxed just days ago, ahead of an influx of tourists from China.
In a swift U-turn on Monday, this has been dropped.
Health ministry advisors have deemed it unnecessary and ‘inconvenient’ for Thailand tourism.
“International travellers are not required to show proof of vaccination,” the public health ministry said.
This was confirmed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in a message to trade partners and tourists.
