15 injured after man set himself on fire on Hong Kong train
One of Hong Kong’s busiest subway stations was evacuated on Friday after a man set himself on fire on a train at Tsim Sha Tsui during the evening rush hour.
The UK Foreign Office updated its travel advice for Hong Kong, saying that anyone in the area should follow the advice of local authorities.
Video footage posted on social media show a man with his trousers ripped off by the blaze on the platform of the train station.
News reports suggest the 60-year-old had set himself alight on the train. Commuters tried to beat off the flames to stop the fire spreading, but 15 people were injured.
