Hunter Valley Wine Country Tourism say that they are receiving rave reviews on its newly released 2007 Visitors Guide featuring the wineries, places to stay and things to do and see throughout the area.

The Guide contains Wine tours and tastings, arts and culture, unique shopping and dining as well as events and attractions are featured with beautiful photography and maps to help visitors locate places and activities across Wine Country more easily than ever before.

It’s the cellar door experience, of course, that brings many people to Hunter Valley Wine Country and part of the fun is discovering an excellent drop that you can’t buy just anywhere, and, with its myriad boutique producers, this is the Hunter’s ace card: there’s nothing like tasting a wine on the site where the wine was made and with the person who made it.

There are about 120 wineries and cellar doors now and no other wine region in Australia comes even remotely close to this.

Food your passion? Now not just known for some of the finest wines in Australia, Wine Country is now also known for its wealth of delicious, locally-grown and locally-produced cuisine. It’s also home to sophisticated restaurants and award-winning chefs, each bringing their own skills, style and artistry to the table for your pleasure.

Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a family holiday we have the perfect place to stay. From backpacker hostels, pubs, cabins, B&Bs, cottages and hideaways to luxury five-star resorts and lodges, there’s something for everyone, including the kids!

Need help putting it all together? The Visitors Guide includes suggested itineraries, and entices you with annual food, wine and music events, hot-air ballooning, cheese factories, championship golf courses, galleries, antiques and some spectacular gardens. The Visitors Information Centre staff assist hundred of people every day to design their perfect escape.
