Galveston, Texas is set for a busy, activity packed 4th of July weekend with a host of celebratory events.

Galveston Island beachfront will feature a parade, fireworks, sandcastle lessons, and myriad music performances. Here’s what to expect:

 

Fourth of July Parade

July 4

Galveston Island will celebrate its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated vehicles and performers. The parade route is Seawall from 22nd St. to 45th St

 

4th of July Fireworks Over the Gulf

July 4

A dazzling display of fireworks will light up the night sky to celebrate America’s Independence Day. This 20-minute show will take place on the beach near 37th St. and Seawall Boulevard, with the Gulf of Mexico serving as the backdrop.

 

Galveston Beach Band Summer Concert Series

July 4

Locals and visitors alike look forward to classic summer music when the band performs July 4th at the Eugenia and George Sealy Pavilion, 900 24th Street. It is located directly behind the historic Ashton Villa.

 

Moody Mansion Galveston Community Band Performance

The Galveston Community Band performs its annual Fourth of July Concert at Moody Mansion on July 4. The public is invited free of charge.

 

Sunset & Sounds: Summer Concert Series at Hotel Lucine

July 6

Hotel Lucine is partnering with Flexdef & Austin Music Presents for the Summer Concert Series: Sunsets & Sounds.

 

Music Nights at Saengerfest Park

July 6

Music Nights start at 6:30 p.m. in Saengerfest Park. Performances are free to the public with on-site beer and wine, select vendors, and a reserved VIP area with reserved seating, complimentary drinks, meet and greets, and more.

 

Professional Sandcastle Building Lessons

July 6, East Beach

Galveston is hosting a free, family-friendly event to help beachgoers create their own sandcastles with guidance from a pro.

 

Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tours

July 6, 2024

Join the Bucket Brigade to explore the creatures and features of Galveston beaches. Tours are educational and fun for ocean lovers of all ages.
