A New Flight for New Brunswick
A NEW SERVICE FOR NEW BRUNSWICK
A new direct weekly service from London Gatwick to the New Brunswick capital of Fredericton commenced earlier this month, the flights are operated by Air Transat/Canadian Affair, using an Airbus A310 aircraft with two cabin configurations: Economy Class and Club Class. This new service will for the first time give travellers direct air access to New Brunswick from the United Kingdom.
New Brunswick offers an abundance of sights and attractions for visitors wishing to experience unspoilt scenery, hundreds of miles of coastal roads and some of the best maritime experiences in Canada, including the world’s highest tides at Hopewell Rocks, stunning coastline along the Bay of Fundy and the Reversing Falls. There are boat trips to view up to half a dozen species of whale and the Province is renowned for some of the best salmon fishing in Canada on the Miramichi River.
David Jones of Tourism New Brunswick’s UK office said “with the introduction of this the first direct air service from London, we look forward to extending a warm welcome to visitors from the United Kingdom to our beautiful province, where they’ll find some of nature’s most awe inspiring sights and Canada’s friendliest people.”
