A new kind of hotel butler service
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay says it is a first for Northern California: fire & wine butlers.
Proving how far luxury hotels will go these days to offer extreme and at times outrageous service, the butler serves guest with “open-air delights, which take advantage of the golf spa, and recreation resort’s dramatic coastal setting and lush, sprawling grounds,” the hotel says.
“Creating magic Thursday through Sunday evenings, The Fire & Wine Butler roves The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay on a specially-provisioned golf cart, providing on-the-spot fire and wine service to guests enjoying the out-of-doors,” the hotel says.
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is known for its dozens of private fire pit guest terraces, patios and cottage lanais, as well as larger shared fire pits, strolling and hiking paths on the California Coastal Trail, and outdoor recreation and viewing spots throughout the property.
The hotel features views of the Pacific Ocean that dramatic golf terrain that are reminiscent of the Scottish moors.
“We have created this position to create the ultimate Northern California resort experience,” said Bernd Kuhlen, General Manager for the facility. “Because our guests spend so much time relaxing outside and on their patios, The Fire & Wine Butler is a meaningful new way for us to truly anticipate their needs.”
