A new MGallery for Australia
The Playford Adelaide has become the eighth MGallery hotel in Australia.
Accor’s MGallery Collection is made up of a group of highly individual and distinctive hotels, each one with a special story to tell.
The Playford Adelaide’s general manager Daniel Sparr said: "Rebranding The Playford Adelaide to become part of the collection was a natural fit for the hotel."
Standing on the same site as News Corp’s original offices, The Playford Adelaide was once the site of Rupert Murdoch’s first board meeting held in 1979.
The Playford Adelaide has attracted many of the state’s leading artists, including David Bromley whose artworks now grace the walls of each guest room.
The hotel joins the MGallery collection along with properties such as The Reef House Resort & Spa Palm Cove, Hotel Lindrum Melbourne, Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, as well as Hotel St Mortiz in Queenstown, Hotel Muse Bangkok and The Baltimore in Paris.
