Abacus takes off with Firefly
Abacus International has agreed a partnership with Firefly, a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines.
The partnership will bring more content to all Abacus-connected travel agents, as they will have real-time access to all of Firefly’s flight schedules and fares.
Abacus said its other agreements with LCC/hybrid airlines such as Starflyer, Air Busan, Far Eastern Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, BB Airways and Regent Airways reinforced its position as the leader in LCC and hybrid content.
The agreement will see Firefly upgraded onto the Abacus AirBasic platform, the leading Abacus solution for LCCs that is currently used by airlines such as AirAsia and Sapsan.
Abacus AirBasic is an XML based solution that allows LCCs to effectively leverage Abacus’ agency network to drive booking transactions as well as sell ancillary services through efficient booking masks.
Firefly currently flies to domestic and regional destinations in the ASEAN network serving 24 routes within Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
