ABTA Convention bookings open
Booking for this year’s ABTA convention in Orlando open this week, with up to 1,800 delegates expected to log on to a special convention website.
Business travel agency ATP International is handling bookings for the event, which is on 25-29 November.
ABTA board members can book from today, while general bookings will be accepted from Wednesday. The website for bookings is www.abtaconvention.com
Flight prices start at £347 with Virgin Atlantic and £387 with British Airways from Gatwick, and £462 from Birmingham and £500 from Edinburgh with Continental Airlines. Accommodation at six convention hotels starts at £53 a night.
Three days of business sessions start on 26 November following the welcome party the previous night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The farewell party is to be staged at Universal’s Islands of Adventure on 28 November.
ATP International chief executive Graham Ramsey urged agents to register soon to obtain the best choice of accommodation and flights. He said: “There are some excellent rates on both accommodation and flights and we urge delegates to log on to the website as soon as possible to register. As always, those who do will get the very best prices available.”
