ABTA unveils details of 10th Travel Matters conference
CEOs, executive directors, political figures, government stakeholders and national and travel trade media will gather in London next month for the 10th annual Travel Matters conference.
ABTA’s flagship event will be held on Wednesday June 26 at One Great George Street in Westminster.
"Since holding ABTA’s first Travel Matters Conference in 2010, the political landscape has experienced significant change. Alongside this, the travel industry has grown and transformed beyond recognition," said ABTA.
"Now 10 years on, and in the midst of Brexit negotiations, the UK finds itself at a pivotal moment. What do we want our industry to look like in ten years’ time and how will travel business leaders navigate the shifting political landscape to thrive?"
The event will be moderated by award-winning journalist, broadcaster and former advisor to the Prime Minister, LBC’s Tom Swarbrick.
ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer will deliver the opening and closing addresses, sharing an insight into ABTA’s hopes for the travel industry and the ‘Vision for the Next Decade’.
Shadow Skills Minister Gordon Marsden deliver an address on the Government’s priorities surrounding the workforce skills required to drive Britain forward and facilitate economic growth.
Other speakers on the day will include senior editor of The Economist and journalist, Anne McElvoy who will share her thoughts and commentary on current affairs in the coming years.
Eurostar CEO Mike Cooper will deliver an industry keynote, sharing Eurostar’s strategic vision.
