ABTOT strengthens membership team
The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust (ABTOT) has appointed a membership secretary to bolster its membership support team.
Samantha Bradbury, formerly compliance support executive at Travel & General, joins the organisation with over 20 years’ experience in the insurance and legal industry.
She will manage the needs of the current membership as well as assisting Natalie Black, ABTOT development manager, in growing membership and promoting ABTOT within the travel industry.
Black joined ABTOT in 2001 and has been a driving force behind much of the recruitment and promotion of ABTOT members and affiliates.
Chief operating officer Richard Watson said: "Samantha’s understanding of the industry and challenges that new and existing travel organisers face is invaluable to us as we prepare for significant changes to the Package Travel Regulations.
"With the new regulations nearly upon us it is essential that travel organisers start planning any appropriate changes to their business models to align with the new requirements. Samantha will be a helpful point of contact for ABTOT members during what could be a challenging time for some."
The appointment comes as ABTOT introduces a total protection service covering both licensable and non-licensable travel for flight-inclusive and non-flight travel.
It has also introduced a card payment service which it claims is an industry first.
