Abu Dhabi, Cuba bound for ITE
HONG KONG – The ITE travel show and the concurrent ITE MICE continue to grow in size and stature.
The 2007 show from June 14-16 will be held over five halls at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, up from only two halls in 2004.
Taking part will be about 650 international exhibitors from more than 50 countries and regions. New country pavilions at ITE this year come from Abu Dhabi, Turkey, Yemen from the Middle East; Cuba and USA from the Americas; Botswana from Africa; Czechoslovakia from Europe; Nepal and Vietnam from Asia, and Maldives from the Indian Ocean.
Prague and New York & New Jersey will be represented at ITE separate from their national pavilions.
Indonesia and Vietnam will stage national pavilions for the first time at ITE MICE.
Pavilion by China remains the largest exhibit, reflecting her importance as an international destination. With expansion this year close to 40%, Japan becomes the second largest official pavilion, to be followed closely in scale by those of Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
For the second time ITE MICE is being held concurrently with ITE.
A new Hot Spring & Spa pavilion will be featured for the first time this year, which is also likely be the first in international travel fairs in Asia. The Guangdong Hot Spring Association will have up to 30 members in the pavilion.
