ACE bolsters membership with Cruise Thomas Cook
Cruise Thomas Cook is to join The Association of Cruise Experts (ACE).  Â
The company confirmed that it will look to use ACE online training in the future.
In the meantime, Cruise Thomas Cook will continue to run its web-based interactive learning resource – The Cruise Academy – that was launched in 2006.Â
All Thomas Cook stores will be listed as members of ACE and the company will use the ACE branding on all Cruise Thomas Cook advertising, online at www.cruisethomascook.com and within all branches.
Jenny Ellis, of Cruise Thomas Cook, said: “We recognise and value ACE as the leading body for learning and development within the cruise industry so are very excited about what our new partnership with ACE will bring to Cruise Thomas Cook.Â
“We believe that not only will it strengthen our position as the leading cruise retailer but that it will also provide huge benefits for our staff and ultimately our customers.“
ACE business development director Andy Harmer said “Its decision to join our association is testament to ACE’s strong position as the UK’s official learning and development body and it takes ace membership to its highest level since formation.
“We are committed to providing continued independent training for cruise agents and are thrilled that Cruise Thomas Cook has decided to invest in its staff through this partnership.â€
Thomas Cook UK & Ireland confirmed Cruise Thomas Cook to be the brand to lead the tour operator’s cruise business last November. This enabled the company to retain and build on the expertise of both brands previously held – Cruise Thomas Cook and The Cruise Store – whilst enabling the heritage associated worldwide with Thomas Cook to continue.
