Add a UNICEF collection box to your website
As though heeding former President Clinton’s words, Amadeus has announced a program that enables online travel buyers to make donations to the United Nations Children’s Fund with a single click.
The technology Amadeus is donating to UNICEF allows travel providers and sellers, such as airlines and online travel agents, to add a box to their online booking pages. Travelers who chose to make a small donation will just check the box.
For travel suppliers, the product consists of an interface to collect donation data. Donation payments are processed as separate transactions from the travel purchase, keeping them easy to track.
"We believe that this new initiative with Amadeus will significantly improve UNICEF’s ability to reach a large number of people online and to provide them with a ‘one click’ opportunity to help some of the world’s most vulnerable children survive and thrive," said UNICEF’s international fundraising director Tim Hunter.
