Adventure Alternative unveil new bookable website

Sunday, 28 Jun, 2016 0
CSI Media are proud to launch the brand new Adventure Alternative website. Adventure Alternative was founded in 1991 by Gavin Bate, an avid traveller and global explorer.

Adventure Alternative offer trekking holidays, mountain climbing trips, adventure holidays, electives and volunteering trips for individuals and groups all around the world. With expert mountain escorts, safari guides and sales staff, the company ensures that all clients are well looked after and are furnished with a wealth of knowledge required for a successful adventure trip.

The new website has been built with a bespoke booking system for the adventure holiday company, which was needed to sell a diverse range of products to single travellers and groups. This was especially important as Adventure Alternative are members of AITO, whom often have unique products and requirements.

The system provides customers with a tailored booking flow dependent on the type of holiday or tour they are booking, and offers Adventure Alternative the ability to upsell extras and gather additional information during the customer booking journey.

The website, which is CMS and fully responsive as standard, allows customers to browse through a huge range of expeditions and treks from Kilimanjaro climbs to Borneo Wildlife Tours before booking these adventure holidays online. As the type of trip can be complicated, the web development team have also created an integrated an Inspiration Tool for aspiring travellers to use. This allows customers to choose from a massive selection of preferences and the system will then provide them with a number of relevant and exciting adventure ideas based on the customer’s interests and ability-level.

As Adventure Alternative have customers across the world, CSI Media ensured that the website was multilingual and supported multiple currencies in order to cater for as many people as possible.

One feature that travellers really enjoy is the ability to upload photos of their experiences straight onto the Adventure Alternative website. All they have to do is upload a photo to Instagram whilst they are discovering the world, and add the hashtag #adventurealternative. It will then appear on the home page of the website.

The company’s website will even take care of their clients after they have booked. Once a customer has made a booking with Adventure Alternative, they can log in to the website to make payments, add more passengers to their booking, hire trekking equipment, complete dynamic medical questionnaires online and add extra nights to their original booking.

The Adventure Alternative website is just one of the recent websites created by the CSI Media team, who have been shortlisted for two categories in the RAR Digital Awards 2016. CSI Media’s clients rated the web design company on RAR, and as a result, the web company is a finalist in the categories for Mobile and Usability.
