Aer Lingus reactivates US routes from Dublin
Aer Lingus is reactivating a number of key US routes from its Dublin base for the first time since 2020.
Popular US services will return this summer including Philadelphia (7 April), Los Angeles (12 May) and Seattle (7 July).
These will further boost US connectivity for UK based customers with connections from Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, as well as London Heathrow and Gatwick via Aer Lingus’ hub at Dublin.
Philadelphia will return on 7 April with six flights per week, rising to daily service from May and Chicago will operate a second flight five times weekly from 8 April
For the first time ever a second daily flight to Washington DC will operate from 9 June.
In October Aer Lingus will resume its flights to Miami from Dublin.
Bill Byrne, Aer Lingus Executive Vice-President US, said: “Aer Lingus are excited to announce the resumption of a number of US destinations this summer as we build back our connectivity.”
“With the convenience of US Customs and Immigration pre-clearance at Dublin and Shannon, time spent connecting through both airports provides customers with a speedier journey overall.’’
Travellers can fly on 12 transatlantic routes via Dublin, including New York JFK, Newark, Miami, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, Washington DC, Seattle, Toronto, and Philadelphia, and to New York, JFK and Boston via Shannon.
The airline will be the only carrier offering direct flights between Ireland and the West Coast with daily flights to San Francisco, as well as daily services to Los Angeles starting on 12 May
Seattle returns with five times a week service on 7 July.
