Aeroflot and AirOne sign to Sabre
Sabre Travel Network has signed two European airlines to take its distribution and management systems.
The Russian flag carrier, Aeroflot, and the Italian airline, AirOne, have opted for the Sabre GDS and Sabre Airlines Solutions management and operational tools. Aeroflot was already a Sabre customer, and used its Airline Solutions products, but the deal means this will be the first time UK agents will be able to book all Aeroflot fares through Sabre.
Sabre senior vice president, EMEA, Richard Adams said the deal demonstrates how well Sabre is evolving in a new environment. He said: “We saw the deregulation of the GDS industry coming some years ago and have successfully positioned the business to compete in a deregulated environment.”
