After spring break shootings, Miami Beach imposes curfew

The city of Miami Beach is implementing a curfew in order to curb violence over spring break. Officials responded quickly after weekend shootings wounded five people.

Mayor Dan Gelber said spring breakers had created an ‘unacceptable’ atmosphere and action needed to be taken. .”We simply cannot endure this anymore,” he said.

The curfew is effective Thursday from 12:01 a.m until 6 a.m. on March 28.
