Agent offers daily charter flight deals via RSS
Online travel agent Just the Flight claims to be the first in the UK to offer information on charter flights via RSS-XML feed.
Covering more than 30 destinations from 27 UK airports, the daily flight deals are provided through an RSS (Really Simple Syndication)-XML feed.
The technology enables website users to subscribe to the charter flight RSS feed from specific UK airports, and receive lowest priced flights direct to their desktops.
Mike Goddard, managing Director of the Wayfarers Travel Group – owner of Just the Flight – said: “Making the web experience as easy as possible for our customers has always been our aim. It has been a major factor in the success of our online ventures in recent years.”
According to the agency, analysts predict that RSS will revolutionise the way people use the internet and therefore the travel sector. Selling cheap flights via RSS allows the consumer to get the information they need, quickly and efficiently. It also reduces the role of travel search engines by empowering users to directly subscribe and compare deals from their chosen online travel agents.
“With charter flights RSS we can give the user quick and easy access to the cheapest flights available.” said Mark Byart, senior web developer at Just the Flight.
“There are so many websites that sell cheap flights on the web it can often be difficult and time consuming for the end user to find the best deals using traditional web browsing.”
