Agents offered fast track to getting online

Travel agents can have their own website for £1,100, in a number of hours.

Sabre has teamed up with Digital:CC, an interactive media agency to offer the “off the shelf” website. It can be downloaded in a few hours, with help provided over the phone from Digital:CC, if required.

Sabre vice-president of online travel solutions, Alicia Gardner said: “We found that many agencies wanted to offer an online booking service to their customers, but were inhibited by the need to develop a website first”.

The website is available to all agents, they do not need to use Sabre as a GDS, but they do need to adopt one of Sabre’s four internet booking engines. The website can be personalised with agency logos, and is available in a number of languages. The entry-level website costs £1,100, which can be upgraded and customised at extra cost.
