Agents urged to use budgeting benefits of dynamic packaging
The Balearics, Turkey, Greece, Egypt and the Canaries have emerged as the top accommodation-only destinations sold by hotels4U.com for this summer.
Sales figures point towards a strong growth in less obvious summer destinations with Egypt showing a year on year growth of 262% despite the credit crunch.
In addition to traditional hotel accommodation there has been a growth in bookings for self-catering and all-inclusive options. Self-catering is up 92% year on year, while all–inclusive choices are up 72%.
Forward bookings for winter destinations are up by a claimed 53% compared to the same point last year. Egypt is showing the biggest increase with 107% growth year on year.
Sales and marketing director John Harding said: “With recent reports suggesting that people are cutting back on their holiday spending it’s good to see we are achieving healthy figures for bookings over the summer and coming winter.
“The credit crunch is certainly making things tougher for everyone in the business but our figures indicate that the desire for going away has not diminished and it’s now up to agents to utilise the budgeting benefits that dynamic packaging provides.”
