Agoda renews partnership with Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism
Asia based OTA Agoda has renewed its partnership with Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism.
It marks an expanded partnership aimed at boosting the number of international and domestic visitors as well as further leveraging Agoda’s technology in its promotional initiatives.
The joint initiatives over the next three years include targeted marketing campaigns, the promotion of more sustainable tourism practices and developing digital skills for Indonesia’s tourism professionals.
Agoda recently hosted the first Agoda Academy workshop to provide workshops to students at Bandung Tourism Polytechnic.
The half-day workshop offered students a glimpse into Agoda’s work culture and operational case studies
“I am pleased to deepen our collaboration with the Tourism Ministry beyond marketing initiatives. Agoda is dedicated to sharing insights to nurture the next generation of tourism professionals,” said Gede Gunawan, Senior Country Director at Agoda.
In the previous MOU between Agoda and the Ministry of Tourism, Agoda launched several campaigns co-branded with the Ministry’s “Wonderful Indonesia” initiative promoting more sustainable tourism practices.
The Ministry will once again tap Agoda’s network of accommodations, flights, and activities, alongside its travel technology solutions.
