AIME shows off its Gizmo
Organisers of the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME), Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), have launched its official Smartphone event application with ShowGizmo.
Registered visitors, exhibitors and media attending the show in Melbourne next week can now download the event app for free.
AIME’s ShowGizmo Smartphone application will allow attendees to plan their time, access AIME’s programme, exchange information and collect brochures, make connections and receive real time alerts and news.
Sally de Swart, RTE director for AIME, said, “Apps are widely used in our everyday lives, so it’s not a big leap to see the potential within the event context.
“Up until now the only option at exhibitions was to exchange business cards and collect literature – the ShowGizmo app means information can now also be shared digitally which may be more convenient for some attendees.”
ShowGizmo is free to all AIME registered attendees with Android, Blackberry and iPhone devices.
ShowGizmo can be downloaded from the devices app store or at http://www.showgizmo.com/download-showgizmo/ and enter the event password ‘aime2012’.
AIME will be held February 21-22 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Visitors can pre-register online for free at www.aime.com.au or pay $22 on the door. Pre-registration closes at 5pm on Monday, February 20.
