Air Astana and S7 Siberia Airlines expand partneship
S7 Airlines, Russia’s biggest private airline has strengthened its regional network with an expanded codeshare agreement with Air Astana.
The partnership improves travel and transit options on flights between Russia and Kazakhstan.
Air Astana-operated flights from its hubs at Nur-Sultan and Almaty to Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg now carry the code of S7 Airlines.
S7 Airlines services linking Nur-Sultan and Almaty with Novosibirsk can now be booked by Air Astana passengers within a single onward itinerary.
The tie-up gives S7 Airlines passengers access to ten weekly flights linking Novosibirsk to the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan.
It also gives Air Astana’s domestic, regional and international passengers more travel options with additional connecting flights.
"We are delighted to strengthen the cooperation with S7 Airlines as part of a key strategic partnership. Russia is an important market for Kazakhstan and the growing network provided by this partnership further develops our distribution and reach," said Richard Ledger, VP of marketing & sales at Air Astana.
Igor Veretennikov, chief commercial officer at S7 Airlines said: "Flights to Kazakhstan are in high demand among travellers from Siberia. Thanks to our partnership with Air Astana, now we can offer our passengers from Novosibirsk even more opportunities."
