Air Canada orders 26 extra-long range A321neo jets
Air Canada is buying 26 extra-long-range Airbus A321neo aircraft
It comes as the airline plans to capitalize on strong as a Canada relaxes Covid entry restrictions.
The planes will replace older, less fuel-efficient jets.
The airline is leasing.20 aircraft from lessors Air Lease Corp and AerCap Holdings.
Another six will be acquired direct from Airbus, with an option to buy an additional 14 planes.
The A321neo extra-long-range version can fly up to 11 hours.
The aircraft can seat 182 passengers.
Deliveries will begin in early 2024.
