Air China adding new routes to Bangkok, Nha Trang
Air China is adding new routes in Southeast Asia next month, linking mainland China with two of the region’s tourism hotspots.
Starting on February 1, 2018 the airline will begin a new direct route between Hangzhou and the beach resort city of Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Air China will operate three flights per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Then the carrier will start daily service from Chengdu to Bangkok on February 12, 2018.
Both destinations have become extremely popular with mainland China tourists.
In 2017, four million Chinese visited Vietnam and there were more than 9.5 million trips to Thailand.
The new routes help expand its network of international services available in eastern and southwestern China.
The carrier already serves Bangkok from Hangzhou, Tianjin and Shanghai Pudong and Nha Trang from Chongqing.
Air China’s Hangzhou hub offers connections to 30 domestic airports, and international destinations including Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok and Surat Thani.
It also operates over 70 routes from Chengdu.
