Air Congo, the national carrier of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has adjusted its planned schedule for the new Kinshasa-Brussels route, reducing the number of weekly flights before the service officially launches on July 1, 2026.
According to the latest schedule update, the Congolese carrier will now operate four weekly flights instead of the five originally planned. The route will continue to be served with an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787-8 under a partnership arrangement.
Air Congo flights from Kinshasa to Brussels will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Departure times vary slightly, with Wednesday flights leaving Kinshasa at 11:00 and arriving in Brussels at 20:00, while services on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays depart at 10:00 and reach the Belgian capital at 19:00.
Return flights from Brussels are scheduled the same days, departing at either 21:00 or 22:00 and arriving back in Kinshasa the following morning.
The new route marks Air Congo’s entry into the European market and strengthens links between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Belgium, a market with longstanding historical and commercial ties. The service will be operated using Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 787-8 aircraft, providing long-haul capacity and connectivity through the partnership between the two carriers.
The carrier has also plans to fly to Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania) and Entebbe (Uganda).
