Air India drops Tel Aviv flights
Air India has become the latest airline to temporarily halt Tel Aviv flights as regional tensions rise.
Since Iran-Israel tensions ramped up recently other airlines including United Airlines, Delta and Lufthansa have suspended Tel Aviv flights.
Air India said it will offer flight change waivers for affected flights.
So far at least 10 carriers have halted flights.
The Israel Airports Authority responded to the cancellations saying its airspace and Tel Aviv flights are safe at this time.
“Foreign airlines are suspending or reducing their flights to Israel for their own internal reasons. Travellers must take into account that their return to Israel may be delayed, stay in contact with the airlines and get updated about their flights,” it said.
Israeli airlines El Al, Israir and Arkia are operating flights as normal.
