Air NZ taps Walmart boss as its next CEO
Air New Zealand has named current Walmart US CEO Greg Foran as its next chief executive.
New Zealander joined Walmart International in 2011 and has been its US chief since 2014.
His is responsible for more than one million employees at 4,600 Walmart stores.
Walmart US generated revenues last year of US$307 billion.
He joins Air New Zealand in the first quarter of 2020 taking over from the outgoing Christopher Luxon.
"We are thrilled to have attracted a world-class Kiwi back home. Greg has an impeccable track record in delivering strong commercial performance," said Air NZ chair Therese Walsh.
Foran previously held a number of senior positions with Woolworths in Australia and New Zealand.
