Air Pacific and Waterman League Agree to Partner to Present The Namotu World Paddle Challenge Fiji

The Namotu World Paddle Challenge Fiji, presented by Air Pacific, will make Stand Up Paddling history as the sports most dynamic event.

Los Angeles, CA- August 22, 2011– Air Pacific, Fiji’s International Airline, has announced a partnership with Waterman League to be official sponsor of the Namotu World Paddle Challenge Fiji from November 13-18, 2011. To support the growth and diversity of Stand Up Paddling (SUP) – one of the world’s fastest growing sports- Air Pacific is offering free carriage of 12’6’’ surfboards to beautiful Nadi, Fiji and discounts on airfares when booking online at airpacific.com/worldpaddlechallenge.*

The Namotu World Paddle Challenge will feature The Race to Namotu, a 19-mile race, The Surf Slalmon, a dynamic and technical surf competition, and Cloudbreak a special competition featuring top athletes including Paddleboard World Champions Kai Lenny and Jamie Mitchell and legends Dave Kalama and Robby Naish, just to name a few.  It will also feature a youth clinic, held by pros, that will give underprivileged children in Fiji a chance to experience this popular sport. An Opening Ceremony on November 13 at the InterContinental Resort will kickoff the 6-day event.
