AirAsia Philippines brings back 400 workers
AirAsia Philippines will reactivate 15% its workforce next month. It is bringing back 432 furloughed pilots, cabin crew, ground staff and engineering workers for retraining starting this December.
It’s a’gradual reactivation’ with more progressively brought back during the first quarter of 2022 if business picks up. It also hopes to rehire staff released earlier in the pandemic.
"As soon as there is steady demand for air travel, and border restrictions are lifted, we can start the process of rehiring," confirmed Air Asia PH CEO Ricky Isla.
