Airline bedding: a sleeper market
With both American Airlines and Delta removing pillows, how can you get any sleep?
Easy, say some new companies that have woken up to a new demand.
SuAn Chow, the founder of Salt Lake City’s Charlie Chow restaurant, launched Comfort Set, a carry-on pillow and blanket for travelers available at www.satoripillows.com.
Others are also waking up to the new demand, reports the Mercury News.
“Retailers have jumped into the breach with all manner of products and available in all price ranges. Already, some stores are seeing an increase in sales.”
Typical prices are as high as $75, but some inflatable pillows sell for $5.
