Airline postpones flights following tsunami warning
Thai Airways postponed flights between Bangkok and resorts on Thailand's southwest coast this afternoon following an earthquake in the Indian Ocean which sparked fears of a tsunami along the Andaman coast.
Phuket International Airport was also closed from 16.30 local time.
Services affected included flights from Bangkok and Phuket and Krabi up to 18.50 local time today.
The airline said it would resume services as soon as the tsunami warning had been lifted. Anyone with flight queries on affected routes should contact Thai on 0844 561 0911.
