Airline shares suffer again

It was a largely disappointing day for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets lost ground.

 

The FTSE 100 index dropped 10.9 points to close at 4418, while the FTSE 250 fell back 18.3 points to end the day at 5983.6.

 

Airline shares once again suffered on worries over fuel costs: British Airways dropped 3.25p to 249.25p, easyJet fell 2.25p to 203p and Ryanair fell back 10p to close at 292.5p.
