Airlines and airports meet to plan CIS market assault

Airport networking event organiser Routes has opened its first Commonwealth of Independent States event in the Ukraine.

More than 40 airlines and 100 airports got together at the event hosted at Kharkiv International Airport to discuss how to access the CIS market and route development.

Chairman of Routes Mike Howarth said of the three-day meeting between airlines, airports and tourism bodies: “This will aid the industry in discovering the region’s potential; with the present and planned growth, the CIS region holds significant opportunities for companies involved in the air service development arena of the future.”
 
European airlines at the event include airBaltic, Wizz Air – Ukraine, Ryanair, Finnair, Turkish Airlines and Malev Hungarian Airlines.
