Airlines for America appoints new communications SVP
Trade group Airlines for America has named Rebecca Spicer as new senior vice president, communications.
Spicer has more two decades experience in public affairs including in TV news production and at the White House communications office where she produced televised presidential events.
She was most recently communications SVP at the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
At A4A Spicer is tasked with all communications initiatives and key public relations strategies, and ensuring the association achieves advocacy objectives.
"I am excited to join the A4A team, working with the member companies and telling the stories of the 700,000 men and women in the airline industry who work to get travelers and cargo to where they need to be safely," said Spicer.
A4A chief executive Nicholas E. Calio said: "Rebecca brings a unique perspective to the airline industry. She has deep roots in journalism and understands how Washington works, having served at the White House and in advocacy communications."
